I have a dear friend, named Jessie, who requested a special project. She loves the book To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee as well as her other work. In fact, Jessie named her daughter Harper after her favorite author. This design project became even more special as a few weeks ago, Harper Lee passed away at the age of 89. It truly was an honor to create this for Jessie and her family knowing how personal it is to her.
As a designer, I have been trying to pull more inspiration from my everyday surroundings. The classic contrast of cream and black was stemmed from snapping a shot of the Five Watt Coffee shop in Minneapolis, along with this mood board.
Out of all the quotes that Jessie requested, "Love her but leave her wild." stuck out to me the most so I centered my graphics around that.
